  • Overview

    The Speech Therapist is the agency employee assigned responsibility for planning and implementing the patient’s speech therapy needs. The Speech Therapist is responsible for the items listed below, which shall be documented in the patient’s clinical record.



    1. A graduate of a Master’s Degree program licensed in speech pathology and has a valid Connecticut Speech Therapy License.
    2. Must perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.
    3. Must possess a Valid driver’s license.
    4. Takes initiative in pursing educational and professional opportunities.
    5. Complies with regulations (Medicaid, Medicare, DPH, OSHA, Federal and State) and agency policies and procedures.
    6. Acceptance of a variety of patient/caregiver lifestyles and ability to adapt to associated care delivery needs.

    Physical Demands

    1. Normal range of vision is required with or without correction.
    2. Normal range of hearing is required with or without correction.
    3. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
    4. Must be able to speak clearly.
    5. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
