  • Overview

    To provide medically necessary treatment of individuals following accepted practice guidelines, in a home health care setting. The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for carrying treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapists.  Provides quality therapy services defined in treatment plans. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, health care professionals, and other staff members.  Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.


    • Must hold current state licensure and drivers license
    • A minimum of one (1) years’ experience required
    • Thorough knowledge of professional theory, practice, techniques principles and equipment.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to document patient care effectively.
    • Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with patients, other health care professionals, physicians, and the public.

    Physical Demands

    • Experts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
    • Must have visual ability to prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribe; operate a motor vehicle; red extensively; operate machines, tools and utilized devices.
