  • Overview

    A qualified physical therapist assistant who, as a member of the rehabilitation team provides comprehensive physical therapy to members of the community who are in need of these services.


    1. Graduation from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
    2. Valid driver’s license.
    3. At least one-year experience as a licensed therapist in a rehab or acute care setting.
    4. Ability to work independently, to be self-motivated and well organized.
    5. Seeks supervision and consultation appropriately.
    6. Takes initiative in pursing educational and professional opportunities.
    7. Complies with regulations (Medicare, Medicaid, DPH, OSHA, Federal and State) and agency policies and procedures.
    8. Must perform other duties as required by the Supervisor or his/her designee.

    Physical Demands

    1. Normal range of vision is required with or without correction.
    2. Normal range of hearing is required with or without correction.
    3. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
    4. Must be able to speak clearly.
    5. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
    6. Ability to bend, lift and assist with transfers and ambulation of disabled patients.
